Hiking and Biking in Rotary Park, Clarksville TN

Rotary Park, An Escape in the Heart of the City of Clarksville

There are many parks in Clarksville and Montgomery County TN but not many have the feel of escaping to the mountains right in the city limits.  Rotary Park has that and also has a creek running through its 111 acres. Rotary Park is one of my favorite parks in the Clarksville and surrounding areas.

Rotary Park

It was named for the Rotarians that helped get the park started. It is overseen by Montgomery County. The location is not hard to find but if you don't know where it is you might miss it as it is so very tucked away. This makes it a perfect place to take a little getaway for the day or a few hours. It is located near Madison St. and 41A ByPass on Rotary Park Dr.

Rotary Park

Developments are on all sides of the park but you would never know it. You feel so protected and surrounded by nature when you are in the park. Rotary Park is a great place for a bike ride and some hiking.

The trails are in great condition and challenging topography. You will get a nice workout. There are picnic tables and picnic pavilions and playground facilities.

The Boy Scouts have their summer Rotary Parkcamps here as nature is so rich near the creek and in the forest. It is a fun place to discover nature and wildlife and earn some of those Boy Scout Badges. But you don't have to be a Boy Scout to enjoy it.

Go take a hike in Rotary Park Clarksville or bring your bike and take a ride. It a getaway within the city limits of Clarksville and anybody can find time for a little bit of nature. Come take a drive through the park, spend the entire day, bring the family for a picnic or walk your dog. Rotary Park is open from sunrise to sunset on New Ashland City Rd. in Clarksville TN.
