Though the days are now cold and wintry, there will be good days ahead to enjoy the benefits of the Cumberland River. Many of the City of Clarksville's festivals and yearly events are staged around the river's location at McGregor Park, The Riverwalk or Liberty Park and Marina.
We typically have warmer days in the 50's and 60's during the winter. Those are the days it would be great to take a picnic lunch and head to the river. This is also an awesome place to get your walking in with the Trailways that trace the river's banks.
If you like cycling you can rent a bike and take a ride for a couple of hours. It is reasonable and even more fun if you bring a friend to enjoy it with you.
Watch for a break in the weather and head to the river. It will help clear the cobwebs and brighten your day.
