Clarksville's 2016 Christmas Parade

Mark the date for the 57th Annual Christmas Parade in Clarksville in Downtown Clarksville. Saturday, December 3rd the crowds will gather to see the night's Christmas Parade. There will be plenty of floats, clowns, decorated cars, trucks, emergency vehicles and horses and walkers. Individuals are also allowed to walk in the parade but everything and everyone must have lights. This year's theme is Christmas Trees and Memories.

The Clarksville Christmas Parade starts at Austin Peay State University's parking lot at 5pm. Entrants in the parade must check in much earlier. There are entry fees and prizes given for the best decorated in several categories. The travel the route is over a mile through the streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville.

Emergency vehicles, sirens and lights at the Christmas ParadeThere is always plenty of music, marching bands, local officials and supporting numerous businesses participating. Dance teams, Shriners and members of our military are always present.

Toward the end of the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus make their debut for the season. Their mode of transportation varies from year to year.Santa and Mrs. Claus ride in a carriage

Be prepared to park several blocks away and walk to the the parade route. Go early to get a good spot and to not be cut off by the closed streets for the parade route.
