What's Spring Weather Like in Clarksville, TN?

What is the Weather Like in Springtime in Clarksville TN?

Tulips in the Springtime

When people are considering relocating from other parts of the country to Clarksville, TN they want to know what to expect when it comes to weather.

Our Winters are mild though there are usually a couple of periods when the temps dip into the teens and we get a bit of snow. We do not need snow plows at all but there are generally a few days the kids get out of school for snow days.

Spring comes early with flowers beginning to show as early as February. All the way through May the spring flowers grace the landscapes and by the end of April the trees are in full bloom and completely leafed out. Spring rains help this come to pass and the grass grows at a rapid rate. The temperatures in the spring can get into the 80's but the norm is mild in the 70's.

Summers can get hot and this is perfect weather for summer activities on the Cumberland River or area parks and swimming pools. There are many outdoor music fests when the skies are full of stars. Summertime in a favor for many.

Fall is absolutely beautiful when the shadows become long. Trees begin changing in late September and can extend their colors until almost Thanksgiving. Sweater weather sets in during the month of October and the nights are cool. Heavy frosts don't happen until November or December.

Overall the climate is very moderate and nothing like living in New England or Michigan where it is cold and snowy. We have 4 true seasons for those that live in the very Southern states that are missing seeing the changes.

The general climate is pleasant winters temperatures in the 40's. Summertime can reach into the high 90's.
