Serendipity Sundays- Gold and Platinum

Serendipity Sundays - Millions of Records

Records

The weather was rainy and cold so it was a perfect day to visit the Country Music Hall of Fame. Others thought the same thing and the lines were long. This was a very enjoyable day learning about the roots of country music and reminiscing and singing along with some great musical talents.

This is a must-do if you are ever in the Nashville area and located downtown near great restaurants, the Bridgestone Arena and many famous Honky Tonks, Funny that many of the songs referred to Nashville and Honky Tonks. By the way, Downtown Nashville is only a 35-40 minute drive from Clarksville, my market area.

There were walls and walls of Gold and Platinum records depicting the success that country music has had on the music industry. I learned that a gold record represents 500,000 records sold. A platinum record indicates 1,000,000. There were references to some of the stars that were 7 times platinum. That is a lot of records sold and money spent.

It also made me think of my company's name, Century 21 Platinum Properties. We haven't sold a million properties yet but in the meantime we give platinum service and are on our way to selling platinum.

It's time to call The Real Debbie Reynolds at 931-320-6730.
