Halloween at Fort Defiance in Clarksville October 27
Ft. Defiance, a Clarksville Civil War Park & Interpretive Center why not do it at Halloween time, Friday, Oct. 27 from 6-8 pm. There will be a bonfire with stories of the past shared amongst friends. Some of the stories may bring a chill or goose bumps down your spine. There has been so much history at the Fort and you will learn about the woes and trials of days gone by.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy the hot dogs and hot chocolate and if the weather forecast proves true, it will be a cool fall evening to enjoy all the happenings. This is recommended for ages 8 and above.
There is so much to learn at Ft. Defiance and Clarksville is blessed to have this place of history on the bluffs of the Cumberland River. There are many events to showcase life during the Civil presented throughout the year.
Educational talks about small arms and tactics used during the Civil War and life at the Fort and in Clarksville during the holidays are featured events. Other topics you may learn about are medical procedures, women and the roles they played during the war, food and rations and how camp life really was endured and made festive at times.
