Clarksville, TN's 59th Christmas Parade - Dec. 1, 2018

Clarksville's 2018 Christmas Parade

Mark the date for the 59th Annual Christmas Parade in Clarksville in Downtown Clarksville. On Saturday, December 1st, the crowds will gather to see the night's Christmas Parade. Parade entries will start gathering at 1:30 with judging of the floats happening in the middle of the afternoon. Century 21 Platinum Properties has a entry in the float contest and it is a good one. Many of the agents will be riding on the float in costume or walking along side.

There will be plenty of floats, clowns, decorated cars, trucks, emergency vehicles and horses and walkers. Individuals walking and float riders are known for throwing and giving out candy. The street become covered with wrapped candies. There are definite rules about walking and wearing lights. This year's theme is A Storybook Christmas.

The Clarksville Christmas Parade starts at Austin Peay State University's parking lot at 5pm. There are entry fees and prizes given for the best decorated float in several categories. The floats travel the float route which is over a mile long throughout the streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville ending at Public Square where the city's lighted tree is located.

Emergency vehicles, sirens and lights at the Christmas ParadeThere is always plenty of music, marching bands, local officials and supporting numerous businesses participating. Dance teams, Shriners and members of our military are always present.
