Cooling at the Cave Saturday July 30 from 3:00 to 5:00
This is a free afternoon full of fun, games, food at Dunbar Cave State Park. The temperatures are supposed to be milder on Saturday in Clarksville TN than they have been all week so it is an excellent time to come out with the whole family and enjoy the park.
Dunbar Cave State Park is a designated state natural area and park rangers are on site. There are walking trails, in fact 3 miles of trails. Dunbar Cave State Park has regular hikers, walkers and picnickers. This event is very special and meant to bring attention to the park and its benefits.
Spending an Afternoon at Dunbar Cave State Park can be one of the most enjoyable time you will have in Clarksville. The mouth of the cave has been the site of parties and big bands. You can also see people sunning or just relaxing and nature watching. The ducks may also be in attendance from nearby Swan Lake. Bring your camera and enjoy the wildflowers and wildlife all around you.
Dunbar Cave State Park is open year-round and has tours of the cave by appointment. It is fun for all age groups. This event and others are free and there is no charge for using the parks. It is open during daylight hours.

Guided tours and special upcoming events are posted on the website or you can call the Park Ranger, 931-648-5526. The park is located on Dunbar Cave Rd. near Swan Lake Golf Course in the St. Bethlehem area.
