Real Estate by Debbie Reynolds: Serendipity Sundays- Eye of the Tiger

Serendipity Sundays- Eye of the Tiger

Serendipity Sundays - The National Zoo

It was a sunny day in May with mild temperatures. In fact it was a perfect day to go to the National Zoo in D.C. especially since it was a couple of blocks from the NAR Mid-Year Meetings hotel.

Eye of the Tiger

Many parents were there with their small children taking advantage of this national resource. There is free admission and we all know there are not many things free anymore.

This zoo has many highlights including the pandas and the big asian animals. Children and adults (we all have a little child in us) love seeing the tigers. Their very presence is commanding and even though they are behind tall fences and 50 feet away, there is still the feeling that that wouldn't stop them if they want to get to you.

Once you are in the Eye of the Tiger your safety is in question. It is still worth the thrill of seeing them.

Take time to visit our zoos. You will be rewarded with amazing sights.

Oh my gosh, Debbie, he's gorgeous!  Glad you got a little 'zoo' time in while attending the NAR meetings. Like you, the child in me loves going to the zoo and it's been years since I've been.

I think I need a grandbaby to take! LOL

What a stunning picture, Debbie... and, of course, the tiger is beyond stunning. I love any creature in the cat family.

That is a gorgeous animal, Debbie!  I often wish I could get inside the head of a big cat like that one, just to understand what it was thinking.

Hi Debbie - Great photo. When a tiger looks at you, it definitely sets off some hard-wired alarms - I find myself checking the integrity of the tiger enclosure. When I was in India, I was invited to go look for them in a nearby national preserve - I passed, because what if we would have found one

You got a beautiful shot of that Tiger! When I went to the NAR Mid Year meetings several years ago, I also visited the Zoo. If I went there and you werre there, it would be fun to hang out with you.

This was my first trip to the zoo. I have been to D.C. several times and the other sights took my attention away before, George Souto.
