Serendipity Sundays - Popcorn Plant

Popcorn Plant

Summer is showing in Clarksville TN and my yard especially is covered in flowers. While out of town for a few days my daughter and grandsons tended to the watering duties. The youngest grandson is 6 years old and says exactly what's on his mind. When they drove up my hydrangeas were in full bloom. He thought I was growing popcorn. How funny.

These are Lime Lights and I have the dwarf varieties and full size ones too. There are a total of 14 plants in my front and back yard. Many of my neighbors have hydrangeas but mine seem bigger and fuller.

I love flowers and like having lots of color in my yard from spring through fall. These look so pretty with the red geraniums in contrast.

Debbie Reynolds - I saw your headline and immediately thought of the smell of fresh popcorn, melted butter, air conditioning and a summer block-buster movie, but now that I have read your post, I get the play on words.  They are beautiful!  : )

I love that popcorn.  Those hydrangeas look lovely.  When we lived in Napa, we have seen hydrangeas that were at leat 4 feet tall and full of blooms.  They are such a pretty plant.  A

Hi Debbie... how gorgeous are these? I'd never heard of this type of hydrangea. I' going to send that picture to my gardener to put some in.
