Real Estate by Debbie Reynolds: Thinking Like an Olympian

Thinking Like an Olympian

 Reaching Championship StatusTraining

To be a champion you have to think like one. Once you think like one, you have to act like one and do the things that bring you to championship level. That is what being a professional in the real estate business means to me. It is not a hit and miss attitude; it is a commitment and a mission. I will not do it any other way. I am proud of the years I have served and as long as I engage in this industry, I will deliver the best I can.

The winter market hasn't changed much from what was happening in the summer and fall. This means that there has not been much quiet time to plan for the future because the future is now. We will glide right into the spring market.

To keep my momentum going means to stay focused and keep my systems working, functioning and going strong. My assistant works behind the scene on marketing and the techie things so I can work directly with customers and clients. If a technological problem pops up, she resolves it and I never miss a step.

We have launched some mail out campaigns to root out some of the early spring sellers. There are several sellers currently preparing to get they homes ready and they should be a step ahead of the competition. I am reaching out to past clients to see if their situations have changed and how I can help with their real estate needs.

My investor buyers are always actively in the market looking for deals. I scour and watch for these type properties each week to uncover the real jewels. This is an ongoing process.

When spring arrives, I will be ready. I can easily handle more business and clients because my systems maximize my time. I am a good delegator and if I get overwhelmed, I know who to turn to for extra help. There are so many quality people at my office that I can trust to get the job done.

As for my health, I will not get so busy as to forget to exercise and to eat right. Both of these are good for my body and I can tell when I don't treat my body well. I need plenty of sleep and will get good sleep to refresh and rest my mind and body.

My Apple Watch reminds me to stay active and challenges me to push to the next level. It also allows me to multitask when in meetings or with customers and clients. Thank goodness for technology. It is the lifesaver in this business and without it I couldn't do half of what I do.

I look forward to the spring market (though I feel it has arrived early) and will be prepared to take on new business in an energetic and professional manner.

Good morning Debbie Reynolds ,

It sounds like you have a plan in place and will find it to pay off handsomely this spring. I love my apple watch.....what an invention!

When I think of Olympic level agents in Tennessee, I certainly think of you!  This is also how we should live our lives, doing our best with everything we have to do!

Debbie, you seem to have that all important mindset of balance. I'm thinking I need to upgrade my fitbit to an Apple watch. It's time. Ha.

Debbie, it does seem like you never had a slowdown, saw several closings, and know you and your assistant are ready for a busy spring market.

Your plan sounds wonderful, and I love that you are also focused on your well being..I love your mentioning the Apple watch.  I just read an article that said Apple sold more watches that all the watch companies combined, and it included the luxury heavyweights.  A

. Debbie i love the first two sentences to this blog.

"To be a champion you have to think like one. Once you think like one, you have to act like one and do the things that bring you to championship level."

That is so very true!

I'm curious why your Apple watch is a better tool than your Apple phone? I use a Galaxy Note 8 primarily because of its size and other features, yet the Apple watch display is so small, what makes it more effective in your opinion than a smartphone? BTW, excellent post on championship status.

Debbie, starting with your Thinking is important, but a lot of people do that.

So, it must be followed with appropriate Action.

Then comes a key phrase from you: It is not a hit and miss attitude; it is a commitment and a mission.

Great post, thanks
