Come Out for Some Hiking and Biking
The City of Clarksville has many parks to enjoy. Montgomery County also has parks and one of those is located within the city limits. I particularly like the feel of this park as it feels like taking a trip to East Tennessee and the mountains. Rotary Park has lots of solitude and natural beauty that can be seen with each changing season.
It was named after the Rotarians as they were instrumental in the park's initiative. Rotary Park is a county park managed by Montgomery County. To get to the park take Madison St. south from downtown and turn right on Ashland City ByPass. The park entrance is clearly marked on your left a quarter mile from the intersection.
This park is one of the best for taking a nature hike or a bike ride. The trails are up and down and will give you a nice workout. There are playground facilities, picnic pavilions, a volley ball court, an amphitheater and a creek. The creek is a favorite in hot weather.
Bike riding can give you quite a workout because of all the hills. There are some folks that visit the park every day and love the feel they get from being there. This has been a favorite location for Boy and Girls Scout Troops' nature discoveries. Rotary Park is open from sunrise to sunset.
Rotary Park in Clarksville is family friendly and dog friendly. This quiet little park is one of the places you have to seek out. It is off the radar of most people that live in Clarksville.
