Serendipity Sundays- The Eagles and Vince Gill
One of the best music groups in the music industry is The Eagles. These excellent musicians and vocalists blended their harmonies for a 2 1/2 hours of iconic music and memories in Nashville, TN. The packed house sang along and was wowed with song after song.
The concert was loud, fun and brought applause. two very special treats were the addition of Vince Gill to play Glenn Frey parts. Also, Deacon Frey, Glenn Frey's son played and sang. He is an excellent guitarist and vocalist.
The Eagles started in 70's and the band broke up in 1980's. Several band members went out on their own and had successful careers. Other had personal demons they were fighting. They officially came back together in 1994. They wrote many of the songs they sang back then and now.
Their sound is stronger than ever and it was an outstanding concert. I remembered the words and moved and sang along. What a great time it was.
Glenn Frey died in 2016 from complication of rheumatoid arthritis and pneumonia. I'm glad the band has found a way to continue and I wonder if Vince will continue to go on the road. They both were natural fits. The Eagles continue to soar.
