Real Estate by Debbie Reynolds: Clarksville Downtown Market Has More Than Produce

Clarksville Downtown Market Has More Than Produce

It's a Day of Fun and Shopping

Flowers at Clarksville Downtown Market

There is more than fruits and vegetables to be had at the Clarksville Downtown Market. This spring there have been flowers and herbs galore. Growing your own herbs is fun and provides mpre than a pretty plant but flavoring for your favorite dishes. Clarksville Downtown Market also has crafts and fresh baked goods, too.

The favorites that are back again this year are the fried pies, fresh pumpkin and banana breads, homemade sweet rolls and breads and kettle corn. Handmade crafts and honey sell well too and so does the salsa.

Every week the vendors may change as they don't necessarily rent space every week. There are new surprises each week you will want to check out. There are also music artists that provide free entertainment while shoppers shop.

One of the requirements is that everything at the market is fresh, homemade or natural. Check out the Clarksville Downtown Market on Saturday mornings. The times are 8AM to 1PM on Public Square in Historic Downtown Clarksville

Come early for the best selections as many items sell out quickly. When the market is nearing quitting time you can also rack up on some bargain deals on items the vendors don't want to take back home with them. You might want to bring your own bags or totes. Cash is appreciated but some vendors have upgraded and now take credit cards.

Come eat at the Clarksville Downtown Market

Good morning, Debbie Reynolds everyone loves to browse through booths at a Farmer's Market.... Fried Pies must be a southern thing!! must be delicious but how healthy???

Good morning, Debbie... I love Farmer's Markets that sell more than produce. Although I've lived in the south for 20 years now, the fried pies are something I still can't wrap my mind around!

Good morning Debbie. Nothing like a stroll trough a Farmer's Market on a Saturday morning with a cup of coffee. Fried pies? Enjoy your day!

Plenty of great things at your farmers market, it would be a great place to visit.  I definitely prefer home grown foods!

Good morning Debbie - one nice thing about these markets is the home cooked items.  The pies are usually delicious.

I need to get out to farmers markets more on Saturday mornings to get fresh produce but now I could take my wife or she be buying more flowers.

Why would one fry a pie, Debbie? That seems so strange. Is it like pie on a stick that you'd get a state fair?

Farmers Markets are so much fun, and a lot of local markets provide arts and crafts as well as flowers and herbs.
