Saturday Smiles- Fall Flowers

Mums Are the Fall Flower of Choice

Colorful fall flowers

Today fall arrives in Clarksville TN. Many of the summer flowers are still lingering as the fall flowers make their colorful showing. In my yard are several mums that are showing full color. I have yellow ones, deep russet red ones, purple, orange and white ones. Mums do very well in our climate.

Mums are very affordable at the garden store and when planted in the ground, will usually come back the following year even bigger and better making them a perennial. Mine tend to bloom a couple of times each year, early summer and again in the fall after I have cut them back around July 4th.

If you are selling your Clarksville home, placing some colorful flowers on your porch and in your yard will enhance the appearance of your home and tend to get it noticed more. Invest a few dollars in fall flowers and it might bring you a quicker sale.

Good evening Debbie - Mums are really beautiful flowers.  I did not realize they would come back the next year.  I think I will plamnt some now.

My wife has a dozen pots of different colors of these flowers.   One of her passions.

I didn't realize that mums were/are a fall plant until I saw them advertised by Menard's last week   Debbie Reynolds .

So true that Mums are a beautiful Fall flower in many colors Debbie Reynolds, and pot gardening on a back patio, or front porch and steps, is part of that important Curb Appeal that everyone notices!  Nice picture and great Blog!

Hi Debbie

Those are beautiful! We just bought a big pot of yellow mums for the back patio. Hard to believe it’s fall already!

Mums are a sign of "Fall", and they do bring beautiful curb appeal something sellers should dress up their home with when selling. Hope you're having a beautiful day Debbie Reynolds.

Good morning, Debbie... are for sale all over the Charlotte area for a couple of weeks now. Always a sign of fall even if the temperatures are still summer.

Good morning Debbie.  Great idea.  I'll go out later today and pick up some flowers for my front porch.

Good morning Debbie. I love mums as well but have never had them return. I enjoy them while I have them and keep thinking maybe this year.

Debbie, our stores have huge displays of mums and daisys right now, both great to plant this time of year.

Chrysanthemums are a good fall selection. However, I do not think the will survive our winters.

I also love this time of year when everyone in the neighborhood has mums and fall decor on their porches. It is cheerful and welcoming :)
